Custom Aluminum Dump Body

This month’s featured body is a custom-built aluminum dump body, designed specifically for a customer in Puerto Rico. Measuring 16.6 feet, this dump body is equipped with numerous special options tailored to meet the unique needs of the client. Built for both efficiency and durability, the unit offers 18 to 23-yard capacity, making it ideal for handling large loads of materials such as asphalt or aggregate. Constructed from high-quality 1/4-inch aluminum for both the floor and the front, as well as .190-inch aluminum for the sides, this dump body is designed to be lightweight yet strong enough to handle the tough demands of heavy-duty work. The inclusion of vertical and horizontal braces further reinforces the structural integrity of the body, ensuring it can withstand the rigors of daily use.

One of the standout features of this custom dump body is its VTLW-74135 hoist and cylinder system, which provides reliable power for lifting heavy loads with ease. The air-operated tailgate features a 9-panel design made from 1/4-inch aluminum, standing 68 inches tall for optimal load control during unloading. Additional features like the upper asphalt apron and catch basin are specifically designed to improve material handling, measuring 8 inches wide and narrowing from 3 inches at the gate to 2 inches at the rear. This water-tight system, complete with two aluminum winders on each side, ensures that no material spills during transport, making it highly efficient for handling sensitive materials like asphalt. The cabshield has been custom-narrowed to fit between the exhausts, offering added protection while maintaining a sleek and functional design.

Other customizations on this unit include a Donovan electric arm tarp system, made from aluminum, with a tarp size of 90”x18’ for complete coverage of the dump body. Special options like the 10-inch asphalt apron with 18-inch wings and extra supports underneath provide additional strength, while the custom mudguard brackets offer more space between the tires and mudguards. The dump body also features extra LED marker lights on the top and bottom of each vertical post, ensuring high visibility, and a 1-inch tapered finish on the sides for a polished look. Equipped with a Muncie PTO for enhanced power take-off capabilities, this custom aluminum dump body was expertly manufactured and installed at our Plant City, Florida facility, showcasing Warren’s commitment to delivering highly specialized solutions for customers across industries.
